South Pacific 900 Series Windlass. This windlass is suitable for boats from 28' to 45'. It can handle up to 1100 lbs of tension on rope or chain and can lift anchors up to 1600 lbs. It features efficient cylindrical spur gears, low power consumption, and high power output. A heat dissipation system prevents motor overheating. The 316 stainless steel gypsy accepts rope or chain. An electric brake immobilizes the gypsy when not in use. A switch controls the automatic freefall. Freefall or power-out mode can be selected. The compact, one-piece housing ensures watertightness. The housing is made of aluminum alloy with a powder-coated finish. The drive shaft and parts are stainless steel. It mounts easily on deck with no parts below deck. Installation is simple and easy to do yourself using the included video CD, which provides step-by-step instructions.
