* prevents from compressing into the wood resulting in dock sliding down the leg pipe. also prevents bolts from working into the wood and the lock washers working loose. * all stationary dock hardware is 1/8" hot dipped galvenized steel with 7/16" holes for 3/8" carriage bolts. * all bolts included are stainless steel.
